Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-power converters (Thyristor + IGBT) ranging from 0.5MW to 10MW, adhering to international standards at client locations globally.
  • Engage in the development of power converters by offering field insights and maintaining close collaboration with our development teams based in Geneva (CH) and Madrid (Spain).
  • Deliver training sessions to clients regarding power converters utilized in substations.
  • Ensure the optimal operation of the hardware/software converter room.
  • Manage software uploads, debugging, and minor software adjustments.
  • Conduct administrative tasks related to the testing and commissioning of power converters, including reporting and the issuance of test and SAT reports.
  • Provide comprehensive support during the transition of the power converter to the client.
  • Represent the Sécheron SA brand positively and proactively enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-power converters.
  • Knowledge of controllers (PID).
  • Familiarity with automation software and hardware (PLC).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients.
  • Background in electrotechnical studies with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 80% of the time.
