As a Lead Knowledge Analyst within BCG's Payments and FinTech Practice Area, you will be part of a dynamic global team, delivering industry and functional insights while collaborating with case and proposal teams to create valuable knowledge assets, conduct analysis, and provide expert advisory services. You will act as a strategic partner and content authority to case teams and sector leaders, assisting in structuring and resolving intricate challenges.
Moreover, you will contribute to the Payments and FinTech Practice by enhancing existing and developing new intellectual property and knowledge resources. Your role will involve supporting commercialization initiatives for the sector, working alongside business leaders to bolster marketing strategies, conferences, and publications. As a Lead Knowledge Analyst, you will also play a crucial role in onboarding, mentoring, and guiding junior team members while sharing best practices across the team.
The Payments and FinTech domain is one of the most rapidly expanding practices at BCG. Our work encompasses all participants across the value chain—from Merchants to Issuers—covering a wide range of topics. In this position, you will gain exposure to the full spectrum of our practice's work and collaborate with a supportive and growth-oriented team.
- Addressing client challenges by devising relevant research and analytical strategies in your area of expertise.
- Systematizing knowledge and maintaining resources and tools for the Payments and FinTech Practice tailored to various client contexts.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders in a credible and assured manner.
- Collaborating effectively within a group dynamic, often in virtual settings, and proficient in agile methodologies.
- Exhibiting flexibility and a curious, innovative mindset, open to new ideas and capable of proposing creative solutions.
- Navigating complexity and uncertainty with ease.
- A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience in Payments and/or FinTech is required; candidates with consulting backgrounds are preferred.
- If lacking consulting experience, a minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required, with 4-6 years strongly preferred in Payments.
- A robust understanding of the payments landscape and the broader financial services sector.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required (an advanced degree is preferred).
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders while thriving in a global collaborative team environment.
As a Lead Knowledge Analyst, you will work alongside global topic leaders and colleagues across BCG to leverage expertise and capabilities for the benefit of our internal and external clients. Our team comprises a diverse array of knowledge professionals, enabling us to pursue exciting and innovative knowledge careers.
The Knowledge Team (KT) consists of functional and industry experts who utilize deep domain knowledge to provide insights for case teams and clients. KT members are aligned with BCG Practice Areas, integrated into the strategic agenda, and responsible for building and deploying cutting-edge IP data tools and assets to deliver insights.
Members of BCG's Knowledge Team have the opportunity to engage in case work and co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in specific functions, and comprehensive research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the Practice Area's business development and proposals and help organize and codify the knowledge that empowers BCG to deliver exceptional business value for its clients.
