The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is a leading supercomputing center in Spain, housing MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe. Our mission is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. We combine HPC service provision and R&D into computer and computational science under one roof.

Context and Mission

We are seeking a Project Management Officer to join our International Partnership team in the BSC Director's Office. This role will report to the Team Leader and senior advisor for international partnerships. The main task will be to assist the team leader in exploring opportunities internationally, with a focus on strategic regions and countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore and identify potential international partnerships aligned with BSC objectives and interests.
  • Organize meetings and conference calls with potential international partners.
  • Draft collaboration proposals and help define responses to EU and other funding agencies.
  • Support the Team Leader in project activities, including drafting project deliverables and reports.
  • Coordinate consortium meetings and maintain project documentation.
  • Liaise with BSC departments to incubate and run international and EU-funded projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managerial roles in international projects.
  • Proven ability to draft proposals and answer EU and other funding agencies' RFPs.
  • Experience in organizing and running international events.
