Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Overview

The Mechanical Project Engineer is tasked with establishing and ensuring adherence to the mechanical engineering standards, design specifications, and guidelines set forth by the company. This role is crucial during the development and execution phases of mechanical engineering for various projects, with a focus on health, safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The engineer will apply the methodologies and processes defined by the mechanical engineering department.

During project execution, the engineer will act as the primary liaison among contractors, supervisors, and engineering firms to facilitate effective communication and workflow.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain mechanical engineering guidelines, design specifications, and standards applicable to all global construction projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute both basic and detailed mechanical engineering tasks, ensuring quality, cost control, and adherence to project timelines while monitoring engineering activities and implementing timely corrective measures.
  • Provide technical support for mechanical analyses and budgeting during the pre-feasibility and feasibility phases of projects.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and provide recommendations to optimize procurement processes and enhance project value.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout the construction process.
  • Perform regular site inspections to verify adherence to engineering standards and ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
Qualifications and Experience

Education Level:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with CAD, AutoCAD, Staad Pro, SAP, and Robot software.

Experience:
Minimum of several years in engineering roles within the cement industry, with experience in team management.
Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel for site assessments.
Understanding of cement, ready-mix, and aggregate industry processes.
Familiarity with engineering project development processes and cement equipment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Experience in large-scale, multicultural environments is advantageous.
Language Proficiency
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Work Location
On-site in Madrid, Spain.
