Job Overview
The Mechanical Project Engineer is tasked with establishing and ensuring adherence to the mechanical engineering protocols, design standards, specifications, and regulations that are essential during the planning and execution phases of projects. This role emphasizes the importance of health, safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery, utilizing the methodologies and processes of the mechanical engineering division.
During the project execution phase, the engineer will serve as the primary liaison among contractors, supervisors, and engineering firms to facilitate effective communication and workflow.
Main Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and periodically revise mechanical engineering guidelines, design criteria, specifications, and standards applicable to all global construction initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute both basic and detailed mechanical engineering tasks, ensuring quality, cost management, and adherence to project timelines while implementing timely corrective measures as necessary.
- Provide technical support and guidance for mechanical analyses and budgeting during the pre-feasibility and feasibility phases of projects.
- Ensure all construction activities are conducted safely and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance and ensure adherence to environmental health and safety standards in the mechanical engineering domain.
Education Level:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with CAD, AutoCAD, Staad Pro, SAP, and Robot.
Experience:
Minimum of several years in engineering roles within cement or related industries, with experience in team management.
Additional Requirements
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with CAD and general knowledge of cement, ready-mix, and aggregate industry processes. Willingness to travel to project sites is essential. Strong leadership abilities and experience in a large-scale, multicultural work environment are advantageous.
Language Proficiency
Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Work Location
On-site in Madrid, Spain.
