About the Role

Mercury Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Electrical Mechanical Systems packages. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring site safety, and driving a focused Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture within your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Electrical Mechanical Systems packages, including setup, management, and close-out of safety files.
  • Oversee site QA, including setup, management, and close-out of files.
  • Manage project schedules, including coordination with Mercury Project Manager, consulting engineer, and client requirements.
  • Manage costs associated with Electrical Mechanical Teams, sub-contractors, material deliveries, and goods receipting.
  • Ensure compliance with Mercury policies and procedures.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities, including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Ensure weekly meetings with sub-contractors and distribution of snags.
  • Issue direct labor hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Close out all project items, including final account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety file, QA file, material and plant relocations, and project plan.
  • Issue weekly cost reports, including orders placed, materials expected, and labor levels.
  • Issue internal weekly progress reports, highlighting progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns.
  • Issue external weekly progress reports to the project manager, highlighting areas not available, delays, shortage of design, third-party hold-ups, and percentage complete.
  • Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule.
  • Track all deliveries.
  • Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
  • Liaise with client teams and review design in conjunction with Mercury client teams.
  • Oversee coordination of works between various ME scope items, ensuring alignment with overall site works.
  • Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost Programme).
Requirements
  • A trade and/or relevant third-level qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years of previous experience in project management.
  • PC literate with strong competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to liaise with various support functions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Pride in the quality and presentation of work.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
