About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Importante empresa. As a key member of our project engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of complex mechanical systems projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of projects, review contract documents, and coordinate various disciplines for timely submission of engineering deliverables.
  2. Design and Documentation: Prepare design inputs, review and approve mechanical engineering deliverables, and create mechanical engineering documentation.
  3. Vendor Management: Evaluate vendors, review and approve vendor deliverables, and ensure equipment meets contract codes and standards.
  4. Technical Issue Resolution: Resolve or manage the resolution of technical issues with clients, procurement, quality control, project management, and suppliers.
  5. Customer Interface: Handle customer comments, technical clarifications, and interface with clients for technical issues until resolution.
  6. Engineering KPIs: Manage engineering KPIs for quality, on-time delivery, consistency of design, and engineering outputs.
  7. Engineering Budgets: Manage engineering budgets for hours and highlight any variations in advance.
  8. Collaboration: Participate in KOM, progress meetings, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and work in accordance with company procedures and standards.
Requirements
  1. Safety and Compliance: Strong adherence to safety and demonstrated safe work habits.
  2. Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in German language.
  3. Project Engineering Experience: Extended experience in project engineering for complex mechanical systems or packages, including piping, equipment, and rotating equipment.
  4. Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas industry in engineering of systems or package units.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Technical proficiency to understand process engineering, read mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&ID.
  6. Engineering Datasheets: Experience in preparation and review of engineering datasheets of mechanical components and equipment for procurement and approval.
  7. Project Delivery: Demonstratable track record of delivering relevant projects on time, within budget, with quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  9. Organizational Skills: Well-organized, proactive, and able to work independently.

  1. Education and Experience: Mechanical engineering degree with experience in packages with piping, equipment, and rotary equipment packages.
  2. Language Skills: Strong proficiency in English/German language and strong report writing skills.
  3. Design and Fabrication: Basic understanding of structural and pipework design and fabrication.
  4. Electrical and Instrumentation: Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation.
  5. Project Experience: Previous project experience with combustion systems (burners, boilers, flares, thermal oxidizers).
