Lead Project Engineer

As a key member of the Veolia Water Treatment team, the Lead Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of innovative water treatment solutions. Reporting to the Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities across various projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of technical engineering packages, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce and review technical documentation, including P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Support the Commercial/Proposals team in estimating engineering hours required for projects.
- Identify and communicate improvement opportunities, and implement them to enhance project efficiency.
- Develop and mentor junior engineers, providing technical knowledge and support.
- Provide site support activities for projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Support and own Engineering Standardization/Productization activities within the P&S business, including valve rack standardization and standard plug-and-play skids for MBR plants.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Project Engineering.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Mechanical and Project engineering in the water treatment field.
- Fundamental understanding of water hydraulics and chemistry, familiarity with pumps, valves, instruments, blowers, and piping design.
- Strong engineering aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to overview complex systems.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, with French speaking as a plus.
