Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer for Battery Design will play a pivotal role in bringing our batteries through design and into full production and delivery. They will work closely with a talented and growing team of battery designers, hardware and software engineers through the project milestones of multiple high-value battery design projects, including analysis and verification of initial specifications.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with multi-discipline experience throughout a battery design lifecycle, ideally from concept to serial production and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop high-voltage battery system requirements and specifications
- Define high and low voltage system architectures and configurations
- Develop and utilize electro-thermal battery computational models to simulate and analyze system performance
- Support the development of subsystem and electro-mechanical components, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
- Define boundary conditions and input parameters for CAE activities, including electrical and mechanical interfaces
- Perform system-related design reviews, analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure compliance with requirements
- Develop verification and validation plans and procedures to confirm requirements are met
- Perform or supervise test activities and generate test reports to document system performance
- 3-5 years of experience as a systems engineer or technical project leader for complex, safety-critical systems, including electrical and electronic components, software, and mechanical components
- Experience with methodological, requirements-based engineering and processes
- Fluent in English
- Experience in high-voltage battery system development and design
- Experience with requirements management tools, such as Polarion, Integrity, DOORS, Aurous, etc.
- Knowledge of development-related analysis methods, including FMEA, FTA, V-model, etc.
- Knowledge of Simulink, Matlab, Visual C++, or Python programming languages
