Job Title: Software Engineer - Wind Farm Control Development

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a Software Engineer - Wind Farm Control Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control systems for wind farms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control algorithms for wind farm control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software solutions
  • Test and validate software systems to ensure compliance with customer and grid code requirements
  • Optimize control system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including control and grid code teams, laboratory test teams, and customers

Requirements:

  • Degree in Control, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering
  • Deep knowledge of PLC programming with IEC and Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols, such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC /104, DNP3, OPC_UA, Bluecom
  • Good experience in control algorithms and network technology
  • English language proficiency (very good written and spoken)
  • Independent, reliable, and systematic/structured way of working
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
