About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering efforts across product areas and report directly to the Head of Engineering. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and decision-making on architecture and other technical aspects of our product.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Area Product Owners and other key stakeholders, to drive business outcomes.
  • Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor a software engineering team, fostering a healthy feedback culture and driving individual development and improvement.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate team performance and provide guidance on improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to develop long-term resource plans and hiring strategies.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience working in a product team as a PHP developer (we use PHP 8).
  • A track record of successfully leading and scaling cross-functional development teams with backend and frontend scope.
  • High-level technical expertise in software development and architecture, with several years of experience working as a senior software developer.
  • Profound expertise in back-end software development and system design.
  • Experience in Agile values and principles.
