Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager UI

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our UI Engineering team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our user interface, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Mentor Engineers: Lead a team of skilled engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, and contractors, providing guidance, coaching, and career development feedback.
  2. Project Planning and Management: Oversee UI engineering projects from conception to completion, creating project timelines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  3. Team Development and Culture: Develop and maintain a high-performing team culture, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  4. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise, implementing disciplined engineering processes, and defending them to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Represent the UI Engineering team to stakeholders, partners, and customers, communicating project progress, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective software development practices.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other leaders, teams, and stakeholders to drive business outcomes, and communicate project status, risks, and opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Proven Track Record: A proven track record of architecting and engineering world-class, large-scale enterprise or commercial applications and services.
  2. Technical Expertise: Experience with frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React, and proficiency in one or more system-level programming languages (PHP, Java, Python, etc.).
  3. Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams of engineers in delivering high-quality software, with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  4. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.
