The Role of a Business Controller
As a Business Controller at Sd Worx, you will play a critical role in supporting key management decisions by translating business topics into financials and challenging them. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Prepare financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive management.
- Understand the business model and market to challenge the business where needed.
- Risk Management and Opportunity Identification
- Manage risks and opportunities together with your business based on financials and business discussions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Owner of the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Story-building of actuals and challenge the financials in comparison with budget, forecast & previous year as well as historical trends of your scope.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, with controlling experience being a must.
- Pro-active, with a critical mindset and a hands-on attitude.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to plan effectively and comfortable taking critical decisions.
- Affinity with both business and finance.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of the French language would be a plus.
- Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP4Hana and Power BI is a plus.
