KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our EMEA Engineering & Maintenance Department, where we oversee all projects and tasks assigned by the organization, from initial design through to commissioning and operational start-up, adhering to company standards and legal requirements while optimizing resource utilization. We are seeking a Project Manager to undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Develop technical solutions for assigned studies/projects (P&IDs, layouts) in collaboration with the Engineering Manager, regional Operations, and EH&S departments.
  • Assess the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and estimate associated costs.
  • Solicit quotations from vendors and contractors, comparing proposals on both technical and economic grounds to select the most advantageous options for the organization.
  • Justify and request necessary investments.
  • Process purchase orders for approved projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate external contractors engaged in approved projects.
  • Prepare, coordinate, supervise, and document the commissioning and start-up of approved projects.
  • Manage the budget allocated for each project, ensuring timely invoicing approval and adherence to established timelines.
  • Maintain project documentation, including O&M manuals, procedures, and certifications.
  • Provide support for in-plant installations and significant customer requests.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in managing projects within the chemical industry or a similar sector.
  • Experience in the manufacturing of paints, inks, or adhesives is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish, and French.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
