Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Denmark or Spain. As a key member of our Drive Train department, you will be responsible for planning, calculating, designing, developing, and validating mechanical concepts and subsystems for our renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop mechanical components such as large casted components, forged structural components, suspension systems, fixation mechanisms, subsystems, and gearbox integration.
- Innovation and Research: Explore innovative mechanical concepts and complete complex mechanical studies and designs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Clarify design and interface requirements with all relevant stakeholders.
- CAD Design: Create CAD designs using NX and Teamcenter, including advance surface modeling, large assemblies, and collision checks.
- Calculations and Analysis: Perform rough calculations on main components using analytical methods for pre-dimensioning and rough structural calculations on secondary structures.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare 2D drawings with GPS that convey precise design and manufacturing instructions.
- Project Deliverables: Prepare project deliverables such as DFMEA, DRA, CRS, and specifications.
- Design Reviews: Execute design reviews with stakeholders and balance important requirements.
- Engineering BoM: Release of Engineering Bill of Materials.
- Prototype and Pre-Series Assembly: Participate in prototype and pre-series assembly in the workshop and implement lessons learned.
- Production Ramp-Up: Support production ramp-up of the first units before series with physical attendance at the production plant.
