**What does this internship consists in?**

Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed **an exclusive program (DISCOVER) **designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to **DISCOVER **the skills most in demand today. It will be combined **with an 11 month internship at Airbus **in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early March 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

**Your Profile**
- Recently graduates/Master students
- Studies in engineering (aerospace, telecommunications, industrial, mechanical, chemical) ,
- English: negotiation level
- Spanish: negotiation level.
- Team spirit and great collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in complex and international environments.

**Job description**:
This work will bring the applicant the opportunity of learning how “in service fleet” is supported, as well as seeing how this support, from the perspective of materials, is set in the very early stages of the customers offers.

When a customer is interested in the acquisition of new platforms (C295, MRTT, A400M), it is key to design how ADS is going to support the aircraft. This design includes determining the spares needed to carry out both the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the aircraft, where and how those spare pieces will be located and the logistic footprints. Additionally, if needed, special agreements to cover all the customer requirements will be settled with third party organisations.

For designing these solutions, it is necessary to have certain competences, which the applicant will have the opportunity to acquire. This competences include:

- Aircraft configuration by means of study the design drawings and modifications.
- Aircraft Maintenance plans; knowing how the scheduled maintenance is defined and understanding the tasks.
- How the material needed is impacted by the fleet utilization, the characteristics of the equipment installed and the how the customer’s logistic is defined.
- A specific software (OPUS) used by industries and Air Forces to calculate the amount of spares needed, based on statistics analysis.
- How in service fleet have been supported, and what is the adherence between the theoretical solution and the real consumptions in order to introduce this knowledge in future offers.

And as results of these activities the output to the internal and external customers will be:

- Issuing a Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL), by calculating and consolidating the cost base.
- The creation of a Bidding Dossiers, by optimizing/improving the available Material Data and preparing the documentation for the materials solution definition.
- Generating all the documentation to support the Material Solution, such as the compliance matrix, the technical support documentation, CBS (cost breakdown), WBS (work breakdown)
- Issuing the SOWs ( statement of work) with suppliers to support the contracts

**Required skills**
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- Advanced level of English Language.
