**Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed **an exclusive program (DISCOVER) **designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.**
**You will have the opportunity to study a **Master **, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to **DISCOVER **the skills most in demand today. It will be combined **with an 11 month internship at Airbus **in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.**
**The start of the internship will be in **early Oct 2023 **, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.**
**Internship Description**
**An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Industrial Assembly Innovation team based in Getafe. We are a highly motivated and engaged transnational team located in 8 different sites in 4 countries.**
**Your **overall responsibilities **will involve supporting the development & maturation of new assembly technologies for current and future aircrafts. Additionally you will contribute to the generation of new ideas and ways of working to reduce the assembly costs in the aircraft.**
**Who we are**:
**Industrial Assembly is one of the most interesting roles in Airbus as we are involved in the majority of the industrial changes in Airbus Commercial. We are supporting but also creating an impact on the shop floor by implementing new technologies and processes, keeping operators at the heart of all what we are doing.**
**We are a team of experts and specialists, understanding assembly steps and interdependencies, pain points from elementary parts to Final Assembly Line, developing new technologies & supporting its dissemination through the plants. We interact with lots of other functions (engineering, production, procurement, programs ), we ensure connection between all the plants.**
**We take part in early stages of co-design influencing the architecture of tomorrow's aircraft.**
**Our main challenge is to prepare for future programs, for sustainability while maintaining high standards for our today's product portfolio.**
**The **main tasks and responsibilities **will include**:
- **Support development of assembly technologies and contribute on the required tasks such as reporting, planning, presenting**
- **Collaborate with industrial partners to develop new technologies**
- **Investigate & provide innovative solutions**
- **Product & Process Benchmarking**
- **Contribute & influence the co-design phases**
- **Manage assembly projects with focus on best in class assembly processes in collaboration with all production & assembly sites**
- **Support external funding projects**
- **You are educated at degree level in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or similar**
- **You like to communicate and interact with people having different cultural background**
- **You like to work within a team and autonomously**
- **You feel comfortable in managing complex & dynamic projects in a transnational environment**
- **You have the willingness and creativity to make things happen**
- **Negotiation level in English, both written and verbal is a must**
- **Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering and assembly processes in aviation industry would be a plus.**
