**Opportunity**:
The Business & partnership development manager will work closely with the Frontier Tech ecosystem to develop, manage and expand PUZZLE X reach and partnerships that will result in revenue growth. The primary role will consist of developing and managing key relationships with corporates, research nodes, federal, national, and international labs, startups, investment groups, tech transfer offices, and other R&D institutions to create synergistic opportunities for the PUZZLE X flagship event. The Business & Partnership Development Manager will be responsible for leading the partnership and business development efforts for PUZZLE X event and other year-round activities.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Manage PUZZLE X portfolio of partners and sponsors by developing, maintaining and actionizing deep relationships with key stakeholders.
- Research, design and develop tools and processes to create partnership and business opportunities that relate to the PUZZLE X flagship event.
- Facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships with new and existing partners and institutions.
- Find and leverage additional relevant databases of information that will synergistically link to the current PUZZLE X portfolio of initiatives and activities.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of innovation and the landscape in Frontier Tech.
- Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of potential partners and ecosystem nodes.
- Support content development and sponsor engagement process by providing insights to PUZZLE X marketing team for various industries.
- Execute the overall business and partnership strategy to generate and maximize revenue
- Accurately prepare and present proposals in order for both partners/clients and PUZZLE X to receive a mutually beneficial partnership.
- Responsible for renewing existing partners and accounts and driving net new account revenue
- Negotiate and close new business opportunities.
- Provide accurate revenue, partnership value, and expense forecasts.
- Monitor partner/client specifications to promote smooth execution and satisfaction.
- Manage and coordinate operational components of the sponsor, partnership, and client agreements with the appropriate media partners and experience providers.
- Communicate client specifications to appropriate operational departments and monitor implementation and execution of sponsorship, partnership, and media packages for the partners.

**Education and Experience**:

- PhD, Masters degree or Bachelor’s degree in technology-related fields.
- Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills with the ability to design and form mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations that will cross academia and industry.
- Creative strategic thinking abilities and proactive tendencies to design processes that will drive the expansion of the PUZZLE X event.
- International collaboration experience is, preferred within the deeptech, materials, startups, corporates, ecosystem or think tank space.
- Experience working in business development and global partnerships is required.
- Previous Finance and P&L management experience is a major plus.
- Strong, well-rounded knowledge of the Frontier Tech ecosystem and commercialization is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and oral formats to connect with stakeholders is important.
- Strong data literacy skills and experience in database development.
