Within the Tax department, you will be responsible for indirect tax across all the Group entities. This includes compliance, controversy, process improvements, with a strong part of the role dedicated to business support and advice on a wide variety of indirect tax topics. Reporting to the Group Tax Director, you will be managing an indirect tax analyst and working closely with the indirect tax team of our Dover Group shared service center.

**What you will do**:
**Compliance & Controversy**
- Ensure that the preparation and the filing of the VAT returns of our operating entities, located in around 15 countries, is done on time and with good quality - this requires working together with the indirect tax team of our Dover Group shared service center, with the fiscal representatives and the local Finance team
- Ensure that indirect tax risks are assessed and managed, be able to propose mitigating action plans

**Business Support**
- Provide advice and guidance on indirect tax topics in relation with current and future business initiatives
- Collaborate with the business in reviewing and validating new business flows from an indirect tax perspective. Ability to propose new solutions based on an in-depth technical knowledge, compliance aspects and risk assessment

**Process Improvement**
- Drive continuous improvement of indirect tax processes to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, improve accuracy of data and controls
- Continue developing the implementation of indirect tax related tools and extend them to areas not yet covered like EC sales list and intrastat

**What you need to have**:

- Appropriate professional degree in VAT - concentration in EU VAT desired
- In depth knowledge of VAT laws and regulation
- 5-10 years’ experience
- Familiarity with complex supply chains and international trade a strong plus
- Fluent in English
- VAT-relevant SAP knowledge is a plus
- Self-confident, autonomous and a team player able to work effectively on a remote basis in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment
