Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed **an exclusive program (DISCOVER) **designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a **Master **, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to **DISCOVER **the skills most in demand today. It will be combined **with an 11 month internship at Airbus **in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early Oct 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

**Internship Description**

A new and exciting graduate role has arisen within the Wing, Tailplanes and Propulsion Industrial Architect community (OMW) where the mission is to pioneer Industrial systems of the future and support incremental development of the existing programmes.

The role of the Industrial Architect is to integrate various inputs from multiple stakeholders in order to achieve the top project objectives. The Industrial Architects influence the project teams using their broad product knowledge to get the best solution possible.

We are a transnational team of 42 people working across the UK, Spain, Germany and France which brings a rich and diverse environment to learn and grow.

Looking to the future we are actively involved in industrial scoping for the **first hydrogen wing (ZEROe), **this exciting programme is a technological leap compared to a conventional wing design and the industrial system. The team will lead the way on the Industrial concepts for this important sustainable aircraft of the future. The focus for the architects team is to ensure the Airbus Industrial Systems will deliver the rate (production speed) requirement currently and in the future whilst maintaining the cost targets.

**Main tasks**:
During your time in the department you will gain a broad understanding of manufacturing principles, as well as developing some specific technical competencies including:

- Support to a Pre-Industrial Accelerator Project in the Tailplanes perimeter, that aims industrial readiness for the launch and ramp-up of our future programmes.
- Support Value Stream Analysis and Mapping for a new industrial set-up before the programme launch.
- Support rate capacity analysis using concepts such as Takt Time, Cycle Time, Lead Time, OEE, saturation, etc.
- Support the maturation of a new Industrial Ramp-up Simulation tool by reflecting the industrial set-up in the tool and analyzing the simulation results.
- Support for Industrial Performance Assessments.
- Supports potential Digital Tools Deployment under Digital Factory Scope (i.e. Virtual Reality for Industrialization, 3DExperience, Digital Twins ).

In this role, you will be able to develop your leadership skills by having the opportunity to negotiate and influence stakeholders in order to gain buy-in and make decisions. You will also develop your project management skills by supporting project planning, risk management, progress control and reporting.
- You have been studying for a relevant engineering or technical degree.
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
- Background in Industry 4.0 in other internships would be a plus.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English (C1).
- A fluent oral and written Spanish to maximize internship benefits (B2).
