This position is on our international sales team that will be responsible for supporting the sales of our solar and wind business development activities in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). They will help grow our market share in key markets by developing and growing key accounts. They will coordinate with our existing distribution network and will work closely with Business Development efforts.
This position, based in Europe, will report to the VP, Global Sales in US HQ. There will be continuous coordination with our sales and project management team based at NRG’s headquarters in Vermont, USA, and in Seville, Spain.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Grow and cultivate solar and wind business in the region within existing and new accounts
- Work closely with VP, Global Sales and NRG Sales team in Seville, Spain to accomplish sales functions:
- Prospect, qualify and close sales in the Territory.
- Help build and track competitive proposals in CRM system
- Negotiate best terms and close sales with existing and new customers
- Close sales opportunities and follow sales processes to ensure successful project delivery to customers
- Coordinate with HQ in Vermont and Seville
- Order confirmations
- Collaborate with Project Management team to ensure successful performance of closed sales
- Sales development responsibilities in designated EMEA markets, including identification, negotiation and business activities with new and existing dealers and end customers.
- Identify appropriate contacts in the industry and manage relationships.
- Help build sales opportunities portfolio.
- Coordinate and cultivate NRG Dealer Network, including organizing product/company introduction seminars together with manager.
- Assist the coordination of international RFQs and Tenders.
- Provide after-sales support in coordination with Project Management team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collect market feedback/intelligence and coordinate potential actions and product improvements with marketing team.
- Help implement market strategy as indicated by management.
This position requires some experience in the Renewable Energy market having worked in sales and business development activities, preferably in multinational and multicultural environments. A track record and contact network in the industry is desired.
- Minimum BA or BSc (Technical Engineering degree). MSc (Engineering) would be a plus.
- EU Citizenship
- Ability and history of closing sales with small and large companies
- Ability to work closely with team (this is not a “lone wolf” position).
- Strong business skills and demonstrated success in selling products and/or services.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English and at least 1-2 European languages.
- Ability and history of closing sales with small and large companies
- Multidisciplinary profile and ability to work well in cross-departmental teams.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently.
- 3+ years of experience developing sales or marketing opportunities preferably in Renewable Energy industry.
- Professional and dependable manner.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% annually. Travel consists primarily of tradeshows, conferences, seminars and mainly customer visits.
- Language skills: fluent in English is mandatory. An additional language such as French, Spanish or German would be a very strong plus.
- Computer Skills:
- Advanced skills in MS Office (mainly MS Excel)
- Experience with CRMs
- Ability to work with different data file formats and analysis (TXT, CSV, etc.)
- Skills in technical/engineering software and remote communications would be a plus
- This is a WFH (Work from Home) position based in Europe.
