**What does this internship consists in?**
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed **an exclusive program (DISCOVER) **designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to **DISCOVER **the skills most in demand today. It will be combined **with an 11 month internship at Airbus **in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early March 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.
An internship position as System Integrator in the frame of Air Supply Systems department has arisen within Airbus in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join the Engineering department.
- **Task & accountabilities**:
Aircraft Air Systems are needed to provide controlled conditions in which passengers and crew can safely and comfortably work and travel.
Integration of Air Supply Systems in the Aircraft implies a huge technical challenge for extracting, distributing and supplying air flows from extreme pressure and temperature conditions across the whole aircraft taking care not only about fluid thermodynamics but also about pneumatic and electro-mechanical equipment as well as its physical and functional interfaces with airframe and other aircraft systems.
Future air systems shall combine high efficiency with high reliability and need to be adapted and optimized to the specific aircraft platforms. In addition, existing air systems are further enhanced to cope with new regulations or platforms and to explore greener technologies in preparation for upcoming Zero Emission challenges.

- Contribute to 'In-Service' modifications (equipment & installation).
- Contribute to run simulations and program models to simulate different solutions and help on the definition of possible architecture for the future Zero Emission Aircraft.
- Contribute to R&T activities for future Air systems concepts.
- Contribute to develop the integration of prospective usages of Fiber Optics Technology within 'In-Service' programs or future aircraft.
- Contribute to Data Analytics activities developing algorithms for preventive maintenance.
**Knowledge acquired by the applicant**:
- Air supply systems (current and future) and interfaces with other Aircraft Systems and airframe.
- 'In-Service' Airbus procedures, activities & tools (MOD process, event investigation process, maintenance activities,...)
- Installation principles and rules.
- Fluid Dynamics and thermal management.
- Algorithm creation for preventive maintenance.
- R&T process and milestones.
