**The Opportunity**:

Energy storage systems are increasing their functions in future architectures; they are becoming a more functional system for non-propulsive systems, and they are a key challenge to enable the incremental electrification of the propulsion.

**Your Accountabilities**
As part of Airbus, the job holder will be accountable for developing an electrical energy storage system (e.g. battery) to cope with the high demands of this project.
The job requires interactions with a large community of stakeholders: Program, flight and lab tests, supply chain, system installation, airframe, quality, procurement, certification, chief engineering, other aircraft systems and subcontractors, etc.

**Your Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure equipment integration with electrical distribution network, conversion systems
- Co-develop Equipment/System ensuring compliance with defined standards of safety, cost, quality, time, performance and maturity.
- Evaluate distinct energy storage solutions (and technologies) for future aircraft designs including their compatibility with functional and regulatory requirements
- End to end Supplier follow-up during the entire development cycle
- Co-develop simulation models for design trades and multi dimensional evaluations

**Who we are looking for**:
Required Educational Background and Experience:

- Degree in Aeronautical/Electrical engineering or related.
- Proven experience energy storage systems integration
- Proven experience with different cell chemistry (Li-Ion, solid state, etc), and cell or battery protection systems
- Experience in power electronics and electrical control including battery management systems with charging/discharging cycles
- Experience in modeling and simulation, testing, validation and verification principles
- Strong relationship building, networking and communication skills;
- High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust;
- Eager to learn and to have fun
- Languages: Negotiation level of English
