- _Representation_ - DDM represents talented companies around the globe that design, build, support and market video games.
- _Consulting_ - DDM provides consulting services to build and execute a tailored strategy in partnership with our clients who may be entering the games space, expanding on an existing initiative, securing licenses or undertaking new endeavors.
- _Investment Services_ - DDM consults as an M&A Broker for companies looking to secure investment or acquisition as well as those looking to source targets based in the video game industry.
DDM is looking for a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented **Junior Analyst** to further strengthen our _Investment Services_ offering. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the team by providing analytical and administrative assistance throughout a deal lifecycle. This role involves conducting financial analysis, market research and coordination with clients to assess potential Investment and M&A opportunities. The Investment Services Junior Analyst will work closely with senior team members to identify and evaluate target companies; prepare presentation materials; and assist in deal execution. This position requires occasional work outside of normal hours as well as the potential for occasional travel in North America and Europe.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Financial Analysis**:_
- Assist in the preparation of multiple financial models using existing proprietary templates.
- Preparation of “Financial Health Check” analysis of companies to review with senior team members.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of various assumptions on deals.
- Support during consulting engagement with customers.
- **Market Research**:_
- Conduct industry research, working closely with the DDM Research Team, to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential targets (acquisition and investment) for each deal.
- Gather market intelligence and analyze key drivers affecting the industry and target companies.
- Monitor market multiples and transaction activity to benchmark valuation metrics.
- Identify and reach out to potential new relationships (banks, funds, studios, etc.).
- **Due Diligence / Documentation and Reporting**:_
- Make good notes in DDM’s CRM of all interactions with clients.
- Gather and analyze relevant information on target companies.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities associated with target companies.
- Keep all relevant information up to date in DDM’s cloud document storage.
- Prepare presentation materials including pitch decks, valuations, and consulting projects.
- Keep the Investment Services Pipeline report up to date.
- Assist in drafting transaction documents.
- Coordinate NDAs and other documentation with clients.
- Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on project status and identify potential issues.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, related field or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance principles and M&A concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and financial analysis tools.
- A positive and friendly business attitude
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player combined with strong ability to work independently.
- Energetic and results oriented.
- Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information
- Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory is a plus.
- Prior experience within the video game industry and personal interest in video games is a plus.
- Prior experience in dealing directly with customers is a plus.
- Able to effectively work remotely.
- Strong English both written and orally.
