**Purpose of the Procurement Director role**:
Within our established and highly regarded Private Equity Performance Improvement team, an opportunity exists for a Procurement specialist at the Director level. A&M’s Procurement specialists not only advise but also negotiate directly with suppliers to strip out significant costs. These unique Procurement services are in high demand across Europe delivering the quickest results and giving the best returns for our clients. Reporting to and, working closely with, the European Business Unit head for Supply Chain and Procurement, the successful appointee will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the build out of the profile and reputation of the Firm, specifically in the key Procurement function.

The opportunity will allow you to be based in our Madrid office with a potential for weekly travel to Europe. We are looking to hire someone who has a successful track record with a blend of operational and commercial skills, an entrepreneurial approach and networks across the M&A community.

Supported by the European Private Equity Performance Improvement team, you will help build the profile and reputation of A&M PEPI in Europe. You will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution focused business entrepreneur who is determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo. The Director will deliver both interim and advisory assignments in Pre and Post Deal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing complex procurement programmes;
- A specific range of category expertise, as well as the key attributes of the category as well as Global supply options, routes to value and other related cost topics;
- Change management;
- Influencing, engaging and advising various stakeholders across the business (from senior executives down);
- Facilitation, negotiation and supplier management;
- Data analysis (turning raw data into business insights and intelligence);
- Technological know-how including processing of category products, (e.g. metals pressing, forming, finishing etc).
- Established experience, with the above outlined expertise in the UK and Europe / Global consulting sector;
- A good network within either the Procurement or Private Equity industry;
- Clear determination to deliver the latest thinking in procurement solutions within a highly competitive advisory marketplace;
- Robust financial experience and analytical rigour;
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university (Procurement specific related certifications are of interest);
- Fluency in English and Spanish. An additional European language such as French and/or German
