The Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and close of new logo opportunities in Spain and Portugal covering enterprise and SME sectors for

Solera’s Fleet Solutions business

focusing on

Omnitracs Routing and Dispatch

and

SmartDrive video-safety solution(s).

Targeting significant growth in the commercial fleet sector, focusing on truck, van, and passenger transport fleets, the successful applicant will utilise their professional business development and sales skillsets and leverage proven sales processes, both direct and in co-ordination with Channel and inside sales, to exceed assigned revenue quotas and targets as well as demonstrate a ‘best in class’ capability to forecast accurately.

What You’ll Do
- Sell Fleet Solutions and Services to commercial vehicle fleets across Iberia (Spain & Portugal)
- Champion and coordinate activities across our ‘cross functional teams’ with Channel sales and inside sales focusing on the West Europe area.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Solera Fleet Solutions suite of products.
- Develop and maintain a thorough market knowledge of any specific industry and territory sectors assigned.
- Develop and implement a sales plan to maximise exposure and opportunities within your assigned territory/target sectors.
- Provide accurate regular forecast information relative to each opportunity.
- Manage any and all activities and opportunities assigned to you within the existing Salesforce CRM.
- Create and maintain Strategic Account Management Plans (SAPs) for specific enterprise strategic opportunities.
- Clearly demonstrate and articulate to potential customers what the best solution is based upon their needs.
- Consistently over-achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Perform as a team player and demonstrate an ability to be flexible and deployable in a rapidly growing company and ever-changing marketplace.
- Provide local, regional, and national trade show support, attend company meetings and trainings as necessary.
- Overnight and occasional weekend travel will be required.

What You’ll Bring
- The core competencies and behaviors of a senior level business development manager including identifying customer needs, articulating the Fleet Solutions offerings and capabilities, closing sales, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- 4-6 years’ complex sales experience, preferably offering services and solutions to transportation and logistics, oil and gas, food and retail and other commercial fleet operations.
- Proven ability to manage a new business development sales cycle and developing a solid pipeline.
- Proven/quantifiable track record of over-achievement and consistently exceeding sales goals.
- Motivated, self-starter with senior Level selling experience and contacts across multiple vertical markets within the commercial fleet industries.
- Metrics driven; highly disciplined self-organization, process and orientation.
- Team selling experience.
- Effective selling style both in person and remotely.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Fluent/native in Spanish, plus fluent English as a minimum. Additional languages a bonus.
