VHIR offers a vacant position for a Research Technician within the HIV translational laboratory (Infectious
Disease Department) to join the group of Mucosal Immunology against Infection under the supervision of Dr.
Meritxell Genescà.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**
University degree in biotechnology, biomedicine, biology, biochemistry, veterinary or similar.
- Master’s degree in the area of science/medicine.
- Average grade of the student must be more than 7 (both Bachelor and Master Degree)
- Interest and expertise to work on the areas of immunology and infectious disease.
- High motivation, independent and team work abilities
**Preferred: -**
Master in immunology
- Experience in flow cytometry, data analyses and statistics (R software).
**Experience and knowledge: -**
Technical knowledge on laboratory procedures related to tissue processing, flow cytometry and microscopy.
- Good level of English***

Sample collection coordination
- Tissue processing and flow cytometry analyses

**Labour conditions: -**
Job status: Full time (40h/week).
- Starting date: June 1st 2023
- Length of the contract: 4 months (with options to extend 6 to 8 months).
