We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead and drive sales and the Flow Control business in Spain. In this role you will focus on our customers in process industries like Pulp and Paper, Refining and Chemicals, Metals and Mining, and Renewable Energy and Gas. You will plan and execute business strategy and ensure continuous growth within the country. In this position, you will be part of the Regional Management team and report to the Director, North, West, and South Region in Flow Control Market Area Europe. Your location can be either Barcelona or Madrid, in Spain.

Your main responsibilities

As a leader of the sales and services team, you are in the key role of planning and executing our strategic and operative priorities in Flow Control businesses. You will have a clear grasp, especially of process customer industries and by analyzing the markets and sales trends, you can identify new business opportunities and ensure cost-competitive solution developments for customers' process requirements by using Flow Control’s strong and reputable product and service brands. Part of the responsibility is to manage and develop the local team of service delivery operations.

You need to demonstrate a strong track record of forecasting, steering, managing, and developing businesses to meet targets. By ensuring high customer satisfaction with viable contractual terms and conditions in a highly competitive business environment is your second nature. Thanks to your strong relationship management, customers will recognize us as a valued partner.

Your communication skills allow you to set clear vision and targets, delegate and monitor performance effectively to ensure strong accountability. You are a dynamic and energetic leader but you’re not afraid to be hands-on, willing to respond quickly to organizational and customer needs. Building a high-performing sales and services team through motivating, coaching, developing, and inspiring must be your true strength. Your networking, influencing, and negotiation skills will allow you to easily interact and perform in a matrix structure. You are an adaptable person, and your change management skills will allow you to lead your team successfully even in a sometimes ambiguous environment.

What you will need to be successful in the role:

- Relevant academic degree, preferably in Mechanical or Automation Engineering
- Applicable business experience in high-level transactions discussions and/or sales management
- Technical expertise in the Process industry as well as strong experience in Services.
- Commercial mindset, a good understanding of Customer Value Chain and company economics as profitability and cost management
- People management, leadership, and coaching skills
- Awareness of contract law with hands-on experience negotiating complex project contracts
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions
- Strong team working skills, and openness to management arbitration
- Fluent communications skills in Spanish and English, and other languages are considered as advantage
