**IDIBELL is opening an internal promotion to Head of the Talent Unit**

**About the unit**

The aim of the Talent Unit is to promote IDIBELL's mission and vision through programs to develop human potential, from recruitment and selection, onboarding and mentoring, to training and professional development, mobility and promotion.

The unit coordinates strategic projects of institutional scope, including the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), by which IDIBELL undertakes to implement the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. It also manages the training and career development program, as well as the Ambassador and Alumni programs.

**About the role**

The Head of Talent is responsible for the broad oversight of talent activities within IDIBELL. It fulfill multiple managerial and strategic roles that ensure consistent levels of workforce talent. It also take charge of planning and guiding talent needs and goals, thereby contributing to overall business success.

The head of talent is expected to be a highly knowledgeable and capable HR professional who is adept at working with other partners to understand IDIBELL objectives and construct plans and strategies to improve recruitment, performance and talent management. This position reports directly to the Head of People Department who takes responsibility over the entire area (People Management Unit, Talent Unit and Risk Prevention Unit).

Main duties and responsibilities will be the following:

- Identifying IDIBELL’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
- Managing a team to assist with talent development and acquisition
- Organising and overseeing individual and team training programmes
- Planning regular employee performance reviews and feeding back to the business
- Developing and implementing employee retention programmes or strategies
- Understanding workforce planning and resource forecasting
- Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce
- Understanding the current recruitment trends and your organisation’s markets to identify the impact upon the business
- Anticipating IDIBELL future and work with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the IDIBELL’s success
- Monitoring and reporting on staff turnover rates
- Managing and delivering reports and data when required
- Elaborate and Report the monthly and annual required information and KPI’s to be sent to the Executive Team and Stakeholders.

**Job requirements**

Professional experience
- Minimum 2 years contract at IDIBELL
- Knowledge in recruiting policies, professional development practices and Spanish labor regulations
- Experience in Talent Management is essential to the success of this role, understanding how to identify potential, development strategies and support retention of employees
- Experience delivering employee training programs

Education and training
- University Degree: Bachelor's degree in any applicable field
- Master in Science

Technical skills
- Strong leadership skills - willingness and ability to lead and offer direction
- Strategic thinker - someone who can extrapolate from company plans the key talent issues, develop and deliver a plan to respond
- Planning, prioritization and project management skills
- Pro-active, always seeking opportunities to add value to IDIBELL through the talent agenda
- Analytical and able to interpret data
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Client-oriented

Languages
- Good command of Catalan and English language, at least.

**We will value, but not required**
- Master on Project Management
- Previous experience in a research, pharma or related fields
- Knowledge on HRS4R accreditation
