**Description of position**

This Head of Compensation and Benefits position is a new full-time position in Orion. You will lead the design and management of global compensation and benefits programs and processes and the creation of our rewards strategy.

Your responsibilities include the following;
- develop and maintain a competitive salary structure that aligns with industry benchmarks, talent acquisition strategies, and internal equity considerations.
- review, design, and manage incentives including Short-Term Incentives (STI), Long-Term Incentives (LTI), discretionary bonuses, and sales incentives.
- lead the job leveling process to accurately assess the relative value of each position within the organization. Stay abreast of industry trends and benchmarks to ensure competitive positioning in the job markets.
- collaborate with regional and local HR managers to ensure that compensation programs and practices are implemented consistently and effectively, with necessary adjustments made according to local requirements.
- compensation analysis: utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of existing compensation programs, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to support the overall compensation strategy.
- communication and training: effectively communicate compensation programs to managers and employees, providing clarity on the overall philosophy and the value of the total rewards package. Develop training programs to educate managers and colleagues on compensation best practices.
- prepare compensation related reports for relevant stakeholders e.g. the people and remuneration committee, the finance function and the sustainability team.

**Description of unit**

The People and Culture function is a newly formed entity that supports Orion’s business units in reaching their objectives through a well-executed people strategy that attracts and develops talent and culture in-line with Orion’s strategy. Our task is to create a consistent, inspiring employee experience and support organizational capability development globally. We execute our mission through high-quality HR services and processes with the support of world-class HR professionals.

**Requirements**:
To succeed as our new Head of Compensation and Benefits, you have
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
- proven experience in compensation, benefits, and rewards processes and design, preferably in a large/global corporation
- a tested ability to interpret data, prepare insights and support decision-making
- proficiency in Excel and other analytics tools
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
- excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English
