**Foster Care Area Director**

to cover the Western Region of South Carolina

**Remote Position / Full Time / Great Benefits / Sign On Bonus
The Area Director (AD) is responsible for all aspects of Area operations including employee management, financial
management and program sustainability. The AD is responsible for program performance, staff/team development,
and client satisfaction. The AD serves as the regional point of contact and general liaison to internal and external
stakeholders. The AD also works with appropriate team members to appropriately support performance improvement,
address risk management concerns, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards in accordance with
Growing Home Southeast policy.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provides effective leadership, evaluation, supervision of regional and program operations to ensure achievement of
goals and professional development of staff in accordance with agency mission, policies and all external
requirements.

2. Responsible for achieving specific goals in the area of foster parent/care giver recruitment and retention and growth
of services and impact to communities served.

3. Responsible for achieving established goals related to productivity, recruitment, performance and quality.

4. Responsible for oversight and management of fiscal regional performance ensuring the most efficient use of agency
resources.

5. Identifies and develops strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to include government entities,
corporations, volunteers, etc. to identify and address service needs of the area.

6. Represents Growing Home Southeast within the community in order to increase the agencies visibility, referrals for
services and to establish and maintain positive relationships and new business opportunities.

7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and risk management protocols in accordance with Growing Home
Southeast’s policies.

8. Ensure that adequate supervision, professional development, training occurs as determined in accordance with
regulatory requirements and Growing Home Southeast policy.

9. Responsible for effectively communicating expectations, needs, decisions, and challenges both internally and
externally as necessary and required.

10. Establish a network of professional resources and relationships and maintains a professional knowledge base of
current best practices and innovative approaches to providing services.

11. Assist in facilitating agency orientation/pre-service training as necessary and appropriate

12. Provide direct service and support to children, families, and staff as necessary and appropriate.

13. Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required**:Master’s degree in Human Services or related field with 3 years**
**of experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of document supervisory experience in**
**human services or related field required.**

The AD must be committed to understanding and conducting work consistent with Growing Home Southeast’s

mutually respectful partnerships; conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change; the ability to maintain
the helping role of the practitioner to meet the needs of the persons served or other family members; and the ability to
work in partnership with other team members.

3 year driving record, Central Registry and others.
