**What does this internship consists in?**

Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed **an exclusive program (DISCOVER) **designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to **DISCOVER **the skills most in demand today. It will be combined **with an 11 month internship at Airbus **in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early March 2023, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

Currently the aviation industry is requiring to optimize A/C performance, decrease operating and maintenance costs, increase fleet availability and reduce emissions; this industry requirement in combination with technical advances in power electronics, electro-hydrostatic actuators, flight control systems and power generation and conversion systems are pushing toward the concept of a hybrid or More Electrical Aircraft (MEA), and All Electric Aircraft (AEA).

This MEA and AEA A/C concept includes new electrical architectures with HV electrical generators, which operate as starter generator and give the possibility to replace current combustion engines by electrical distributed propulsion systems.

During the internship a pre-establish electrical propulsion architecture for regional aircraft will be analysed, identifying prons and cons, and proposing alternatives in order to design the most efficient solution for a MEA and AEA electrical regional Aircraft.

Once the MEA and AEA architecture have been defined, this architecture will be implemented in a Model Base System Engineering (MBSE) methodology, using RFLP (Requirement, Functional, Logical and Physical) approach.

A complete MBSE strategy will be defined to assure that all requirements are meet through every life cycle phase and first stages of more electric aircraft architecture will be implemented in MBSE.

This internship will allow you to be part of the future military aircrafts, UAV and regional aircraft platform, developing electrical architectures for new projects, using new technologies and implementing a new MBSE methodology in system development to cover new capabilities and necessities in the future of aviation.

**Your Profile**
- Recently graduates/Master students.
- Studies in engineering (aerospace, telecommunications, industrial, mechanical, chemical) ,
- Multiphysics Simulation: Matlab, Simulink or similar experience.
- English: negotiation level.
- Team spirit and great collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in complex and international environments.
