- This position is located in the Enterprise Solutions Service, Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT/ESS) in Valencia, Spain. The incumbent reports to an Information Systems Officer within OICT/ESS.
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Information Systems Officer and general supervision of the Enterprise Solutions Service Chief, the incumbent will perform the following functions:

Drafts correspondence and communications, including work plan revisions and other related issues, as well as prepares unit contributions for a variety of periodic reports.
- Keeps abreast of developments in the field; performs benchmarking and proposes new acquisitions.
- Provides guidance to new/junior staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

TECHNOLOGICAL AWARENESS:

- Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

A university degree in computer science, information technology or a relevant field is desirable.

A recognized first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of two years of required experience.
Passing the GGST is required for recruitment consideration in the General Service and related categories in the United Nations Secretariat. Successful passing of the United Nations Administrative Support Assessment Test (ASAT) in English or French or successful passing an equivalent locally-administered test at Offices Away from Headquarters, may be accepted in lieu of the GGST. - Work Experience

A minimum of four years of experience in back-end and server-side programming in C# and dotNET is required.

A minimum of two years of experience with DevOps process (git, pipeline,Docker) is required.

Experience with python and/or the Django frameworks is desirable.
Languages
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language, particularly Spanish, is an advantage.
