**Job Description**:
Position: Global Account Manager - Spain - Energy Vertical

Previous experience: Building executive level relationships within global energy orginisation, sales of complex, B2B Enterprise software, leading virtual account teams and orchestrating complex global engagements. Deep trusted advisor status working with a customer orginisation within the energy vertical.

Location: Spain - Home Office

Employment type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available)

The job

As a Global Account Manager, your primary focus will be to coordinate AVEVA’s touch points globally, including local/regional sales account management, field service, customer technical support, industry and marketing principals, partners, and back office areas such as purchasing and finance for named accounts.

Your main objective will be to strive for high customer satisfaction and experience from a globally consistent AVEVA look, feel, and performance focused on value generation and sustainment. Experience solving strategic challenges within a global energy orginisation will be a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Increasing the depth and breadth of the AVEVA technological and business footprint with the customer.
- Ensuring that the customer sees value and satisfaction from their relationship with AVEVA.
- Building executive level relationships and know the customer throughout the entire Customer ecosystem.
- Building and leading a virtual account team
- Understanding your customer’s business goals, issues and priorities and how AVEVA can be an influential partner.
- You will be responsible for controlling:

- Development and maintenance of a cohesive account plan and strategy.
- Global pursuits driven from the top of the organization.
- AVEVA’s investment in your customer.
- Creating and executing a communication plan across the company and your virtual team.
- To ensure the success of your customer and account, you will be responsible for influencing:

- The strategic alliance between AVEVA and your customer.
- AVEVA’s Sales leadership and the Sales organization to benefit your customer.
- AVEVA to be a pathfinder for your customer by providing input regarding technology and improved customer support.
- Below is what support you should expect and/or need to be successful.
- Executive sponsorship within AVEVA
- A clear mandate and level of authority to make decisions for your customer account.
- Resources to provide support to your customer
- Named and strategic accounts clearly identified and respected throughout the organization
- We will measure your success based on the following criteria.
- Breadth and depth of partnership
- Badged In
- Getting AVEVA listed as a preferred vendor
- Participation by Customer in our marketing collateral or events such as a Case study, Present at UC or other regional event
- Presence of Internal user group
- Coauthored business plan with each key division of our customer’s organization to expand the use of AVEVA solutions
- Training participation
- High quality Executive relationship
- Speaks at Regional Seminars and other AVEVA events
- Executive briefing visits
- Acts as reference
- State of Commercial agreements (current - no coverage lapse, up to date with our contemporary offering and pricing, no pending amendments in the queue)
- Positive ratings on any satisfaction survey AVEVA might do with the customer
- SRP and/or subscription attach rate (if applicable)
- Year Over Year revenue growth

Ideal Experience
- Proven direct sales experience, including building relationships with, and selling to the enterprise level (calling on VP Operations, CTO, CIO and other Executives)
- Software and automation background preferred
- Successful track record of selling complex, high value software and product agreements
- Experience selling into the Food and Beverage, Discrete or Transportation preferred, process, energy, pharma or utilities industries a plus
- Excellent communicator, capable of maintaining internal and external relationships
- Must be customer-focused, willing to learn
