Account Manager Job Description
Captain Words is a content writing and translation agency.

We are looking for Account Managers to join our team to ensure we need the requirements and deadlines of our clients.


As an Account Manager for Captain Words, you will be the contact person with whom the client will interact most.

Your job will be the daily management of the client's expectations, addressing concerns and overseeing their account activities.


A successful Account Manager has excellent communication skills and is committed to ensuring the client's needs are met within the agreed-upon period.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Collaborate departmentally with Project Managers (PMs) to facilitate the delivery of client orders
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the client and Admin with regards to the delivery of orders
  • Assist in developing initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage the client's project from beginning to end
  • Assess and identify the client's needs and assist PMs and Admin in meeting those needs
  • Source new clients and promote Captain Words to possible clients
  • Professionally resolve client complaints for the best outcome.

Skills Needed

  • Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking and presenting in English.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage different components working together to achieve a set goal.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Good negotiation skills and intuition about client needs and expectations
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Processing completed written works for invoicing
  • The ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Excellent PC skills and access to stable internet connection

Required Experience

  • Project or Account Management experience (preferably in a fastpaced environment)
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Extensive experience communicating with clients as well as various stakeholders
