When you join Team Amex, you become part of a global and diverse community of colleagues with an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities and each other.Here, youll learn and grow as we help you create a career journey thats unique and meaningful to you with benefits, programs, and flexibility that support you personally and professionally.At American Express, youll be recognized for your contributions, leadership, and impactevery colleague has the opportunity to share in the companys success.Together, well win as a team, striving to uphold our and powerful backing promise to provide the worlds best customer experience every day.And well do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.Who are we?The EMEA Merchant Acquisition Sales organization is a sales team of different nationalities speaking more than 28 languages based in Madrid.Our teams successfully acquire and manage relationships with merchants in all European Markets.As an European hub, based in our new European Head office, we offer a rewarding package and the opportunity to work at one of Spain's premier employer brands.We are expanding our sales team; the successful candidate will be a driven and resourceful individual who is able to quickly engage with potential merchants and clearly articulate the benefits of acceptance to a range of different types of business.Main responsibilitiesGrow the AMEX online acceptance network in the UK by self prospecting and following up on leads by phone to sign new Merchants.End to end ownership of a lead, from first contact through to closing the sale, account set up and ensuring that they are able to fully benefit from Accepting Amex in their establishment.Participate in tactical sales campaigns throughout the year.QualificationsNative / Fluent level of English written and spokenBackground working for / in the UK marketPrevious Sales experience is a plusKnowledge of the UK online marketplaceWilling to sell, driven by objectives, ambitious and communicative.Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Salesforce a bonus)Highly engaging telephone communication style with ability to speak confidently with senior executivesA natural forward planner who is highly organized and has the ability to manage multiple customers at different stages of the sales processAbility to work independently whilst also collaborating with team members in different markets to maximize individual and company performanceWe back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
