Business Unit Description As the 'home of unique offerings' within SABIC, the Specialties Strategic Business Unit is focused on challenging technology endeavors that positively impact the way the world travels, communicates, works and lives. This SBU produces a wide range of specialty resins and compounds, including high heat resins, LNP compounds and copolymers and NORYL resins.
Your Role and Responsibilities The Sales Account manager is commercially responsible for the profitable growth at the assigned Specialties customer base in Spain, including price and contract negotiations within HQ guidelines, and coordination of logistics and claim handling together with Customer and Technical Service teams. Your customer base consists of medium-large moulders and (captive) OEMs working primarily for Automotive. In order to be successful, you therefore need to build good relationships with all constituencies, internally and externally.
Your objective is to offer them the best customer experience possible and continuously look for ways to increase our added value to the customer and capture part of that value in terms of volume, revenue and margin growth. You are responsible for maintaining and growing our share and profitability at this customer base. You will work together with other growth teams and stakeholders to develop new customers for Sabic Specialties. On product level you will focus on selling and growing the complete SABIC Specialties product portfolio.
Develop a good understanding of the competitive environment in Spain for relevant industries/products to grow and create business with your customers. Interact with key internal stakeholders such as Product Management, T&I, Pricing and Supply Chain Management Balancing between developing and maintaining excellent lasting customer relations and executing on short term commercial goals to make the operating plan Responsibility for data documentation for your buying and specifying customer base Providing input for Sales Planning (S&OP) You will participate in Marketing Communication activities such as attending fairs. Your profile BSc/MSc in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering Background in the plastics industry (preferably engineering Specialties) and at least 3 years of experience in commercial or technical marketing roles in Automotive. Expertise in application development, plastics product knowledge and troubleshooting (RCCA) Proven capability to build excellent business relationships with customers. Ambition and drive for commercial responsibility and accountability Likes intensive travelling within Spain and visiting Netherlands EUR HQ on a regular basis. A team player with a hands-on mentality and a positive and solution focused mindset. Well able to work independently on their own initiatives to drive ideas and activities forward and asking help where needed. A strong communicator that enjoys working in a diverse team, fluent in Spanish and has strong verbal and writing skills in the English language. Interested?
