Technical Customer Service Representative (Dutch-speaking market)Viking EMEA is a subsidiary of its parent company Minimax Viking GmbH and is active in the sales and distribution of firefighting products and systems in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Viking EMEA employs approximately 200 people and has distribution centers in Luxembourg (headquarters), Germany, Sweden, the UK, Italy, Spain, Romania and Turkey. Several local offices in the Netherlands, Poland and Dubai complete the network of our presence in the EMEA region.
Due to continued growth and market development, we are searching for a Technical Customer Service Representative, with proven experience in fire protection technologies, to become an active team member supporting the Dutch-speaking customer area.
In this a varied and interesting role, you will be responsible for the first customer contacts, so you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service as a tool to sustain our growth. You provide our clients with excellent technical support and a full solution. Thanks to your commercial attitude and technical knowledge, you will enhance sales over the phone. You manage and follow up the end-to-end process, from product selection, quoting, sales order entry up to the delivery of materials.
Your technical skills and proven records as a fire protection advisor are keys to make you become the first Viking point of contact with our customers, looking for the right product proposal, while building the day-to-day relationship with them.
You will have the following duties:Understand customer technical requirements and convert them into productsPrepare and follow up quotes based on pricing guidelines from the commercial team, with the authority to close sales and maximize quote conversionCollaborate with the sales and technical teams to define the most complete technical solutionCooperate closely with the credit department to ensure reliable order fulfilmentProcess and follow up incoming ordersMaximize sales by proactively provide customers with product and service information to influence decision makingProvide customers with price, lead-time, product information, technical documents etc.Liaise with the replenishment team and occasionally with suppliersCoordinate shipment to customers – liaise with the warehouse/ carrier if necessaryCheck daily reports and act accordinglyReporting line:You will report to the Local Customer Service Team Leader, also based in Oldenzaal.
Qualifications and experience:This position requires experience of 5+ years in a technical or customer service environment (ideally B2B);You have excellent technical knowledge in fire protection and some administrative skills;You are at ease with phone communication (quote follow-up, technical support);You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, any additional language is an asset;You have a good knowledge and experience with IT tools (Office suite and modern ERP's); SAP experience is an advantage;You have strong verbal and written communication skills and you are a good team player;You are a fast learner, a dynamic and agile multi-tasker and enjoy the challenges of a busy office environment.Our offer:Stable company: for overthree decades, our company has stood the test of time, weathering economic shifts, technological revolutions, and industry changes.
