Billing Specialist

Eurovision Services Madrid is looking for a Billing Specialist to join our Finance team in Madrid, (Spain), to cover a maternity leave .
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
Building up, developing and managing billing within the Finance team in accordance with the relevant internal and external regulations, guidelines and corresponding instructions from the Head of unit.
Managing administrative activities of the unit and streamlining operational procedures to achieve more efficiency.
Preparing, processing and submitting customer billings including payment applications.
Managing the status of accounts and balances and identifying inconsistencies.
Preparing and maintaining an accurate and complete A/R subledger.
Checking the validity of debit accounts.
Building customer relationships, monitoring customer payment performance and negotiating payment plans when necessary.
Reviewing monthly income accruals and providing a global valuation (in cooperation with operations) of transmissions not priced.
Proposing and trying to automate the pricing process as much as possible.
Understanding pricing models and collaborating with IT teams to develop tools to automate complex rate-cards.
Reviewing and monitoring credit-notes level in collaboration with the Credit Controller, to implement controls and processes.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have:
At least 3 years of combined accounting experience within a multinational business.
Full proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Some experience with Dynamics 365 (NAV) or AX.
Some experience with process automation, IFRS and Swiss GAAP.
Strong collaboration, influencing and communication skills.
The ability to interact with ease, confidence and credibility at all levels.
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
The ability to adapt to and drive changing demands and conditions.
Strong business acumen, including negotiation skills.
ADDED VALUE
Additional experience in the following areas would be considered a plus:
Experience or knowledge in the broadcast industry.
Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams (our headquarters are located in Switzerland).
French language skills.
