Details NegotiableFull-Time1 positionDeadline:Apr 20, 2023Description:The roleWe are looking for a Head of IT who is excited by the challenge of providing an excellent service in a stimulating international research environment and is able to align technical requirements with the organization needs.Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Head of the IT Department shall be responsible for the design and implementation of the information and technology systems and services in line with CNAG's strategic goals, for the smooth running, timely provision of the services, for its quality and cost effectiveness. He/she shall provide leadership to, and ensure efficient management of the Department.Main duties and responsibilitiesDesign the IT infrastructure and services in line with the institute's priorities and needs, ensuring system functionality and compatibility.Supervise IT daily operations (helpdesk, systems administration, web development and administration, ERP technical administration) to deliver quality and timely services.Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.Lead efforts to improve IT processes, identify bottlenecks or improvement areas and implement strategic solutions/projects in time.Develop requirements for IT projects, lead and oversee all phases of project from conception to completion and ensure project is completed within budget and on time.Coordinate and manage staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees and providing leadership.Develop best practices and written documentation, as well as assess IT activity using KPIs.Establish good relations with external partners and collaborations with research institutes at local and international level.To assist in the preparation of tender documents.Whom would we like to hireYou have a minimum 3 years of working experience in a senior position in IT management.You have experience leading people.You have a higher education degree (or qualification) in computer sciences, information systems, engineering or a similar.Advanced level of English written and spoken and good command of Spanish.Catalan will be an advantage.The offerEstimated annual gross salary: We offer a competitive salary.We provide a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructures, and unique professional career development opportunities.
