The role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Google architect to join our team at SoftwareOne AG. As a leading global provider of software solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and flawless technical solutions to our clients. Role & Responsibilities:
As a Google architect, you will be responsible for designing creative cloud architectures that include infrastructure, security, and networking layouts across different cloud platforms. You will have the chance to showcase your solutions through presentations, demos, and workshops, highlighting the strengths of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) whenever you can. Your knowledge will be vital in advising clients on effective cloud usage, migration strategies, and optimization techniques to improve their investment in cloud technologies. Some of your main duties will include:
Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures tailored to meet client requirements.
Offering guidance and expertise in transitioning to the cloud, optimizing strategies, and managing costs in alignment with client business objectives.
Explaining the benefits of suggested solutions, addressing any potential issues, and establishing strong rapport with potential clients.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technologies and related areas.
Organizational Alignment:
In this position, you will be directly reporting to the CoE (Center of Excellence) Lead. You will also have the chance to closely collaborate with colleagues from different areas of expertise, working together to achieve outstanding outcomes.
What we need to see from you:
What you offer:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture design and implementation, with a strong focus on cloud solutions. Proficiency in the GCP environment is highly appreciated, and skills in VMware environments are a plus. In addition, the following qualifications are required:
Deep proficiency in core cloud concepts, infrastructure (IaaS), platform services (PaaS), security, networking, and cost optimization.
Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage, and Networking, with GCP professional certifications. Knowledge in other hyperscale areas would also be appreciated.
The ability to translate complex business needs into compelling cloud solutions, effectively present technical concepts, and address any objections that may arise.
