We're hiring a senior back-end engineer who owns real problems end-to-end and shapes how the team builds, from API design and data modeling through to service implementation, production reliability, and launch. You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship.
You'll write code that moves money in production, design and modernize the backend services the platform runs on, and lead delivery of new capability as Xe rebuilds its platform layer. Design and own backend services that move money and manage multi-currency balances across a range of domains, including onboarding, KYC and KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and other supporting services.
Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) daily across the SDLC, and lead modernization from legacy services into the modern stack alongside architects and team leads in your domain.
6 to 10+ years building production backend services, end-to-end.
~ Strong backend proficiency in C# / .
NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent). ~ SQL and relational database fundamentals. ~ Writing and maintaining tests. ~ Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) across the SDLC. ~ Production experience with AWS, including hands-on deployment, CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices, and native services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda. ~ Track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and making architecture decisions in your domain. ~ Experience with ledgers, double-entry accounting, or other financial-data systems. Experience with caching solutions like Memcached or Redis. Experience using project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence. Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno. Writing automated tests alongside development with AI tools (Claude Code or equivalent).
