Global Category Manager, Commodities/Raw Materials – Global FMCG Business, Barcelona (relocation support available) A leading FMCG business has recently transformed their global procurement function and are seeking a strong commodity procurement professional to join their direct procurement team based in Barcelona. You will lead procurement for key ingredient commodities across a spend exceeding €100m.
This is a key procurement vacancy in the context of ongoing transformation activity and is critical to deliver the broader goals of the procurement function. The business is looking to improve in areas including commodity strategy (hedging and risk management) strategic supplier relationship management, sustainability and influencing across business units, so experience in these areas is highly advantageous.

As owner of the global commodity procurement strategy, drive improvement across processes, negotiations, security of supply and innovation. Engage at senior levels both internally and externally to drive stronger relationships with business units and suppliers globally. Extensive experience within ingredients or commodities procurement and knowledge of commodity management Global or significant regional exposure is highly advantageous Experience within food or agriculture sectors is strongly preferred If you are a strong direct procurement professional with a strong background in commodities/ingredients, looking to move into a role where you can influence long-term procurement strategy.
