As QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and driving automation. You will work in the Machine Learning Products & APIs Team, where we build APIs and products around LanguageWire Machine Learning models. You will be ensuring the performance and quality of internal APIs and how they integrate with other products and services. You will be also responsible for the quality of customer-facing products like LanguageWire Translate, LanguageWire's machine translation (MT) solution. With a research-based approach and the use of the latest technologies, we push boundaries to deliver innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Full-Stack Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers and reporting to your Team Lead. What's in it for you? Driving quality initiatives in a cross-functional team of 10-12, shaping and improving our QA strategy and automation coverage Contributing to the continuous evolution of our testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines Ensuring seamless performance of web interfaces (esp. Vue) and API integrations (Python) Owning the QA lifecycle from planning to release validation for various applications Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools Writing clear and actionable test cases and scenarios, ensuring maximum test coverage Defining and documenting test strategies and testing approaches, along with creating test plans Performing regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing across web and backend services Performing manual testing for complex scenarios where automation is not feasible. Contributing to post-release testing, performance benchmarking, and root cause analysis of production issues Supporting a shift-left testing culture by coaching developers on quality practices What does it take to work for LanguageWire? 3+ years of hands-on QA experience with a strong focus on automation testing ~ Proficiency with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for test automation ~ Experience testing REST APIs and understanding backend systems, preferably written in Python ~ RabbitMQ) ~ Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) ~ Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, techniques, and best practices ~ Experience producing and maintaining key test assets: test plans, checklists, bug reports, and test data ~ Fluency in English (spoken and written) Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Knowledge of accessibility and security testing practices ~ Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) ~ Contributions to open-source test frameworks or communities ~ Background in testing ML-based applications or data pipelines ~ For this role, we have a full-time FlexiWire@home option for remote work.
