This program is designed for final-year students and recent graduates with a strong academic background, a high level of English and a keen interest in global financial markets. You will join an international and fast-paced environment, gain hands‑on exposure to live business activity and develop the technical, commercial and interpersonal skills needed to build your career in Corporate & Investment Banking. The program is expected to start in July or September 2027, depending on the country.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
As part of Santander Future Talents: Santander CIB Graduate Program Europe - Global Markets - Quants, you will contribute to Global Markets activities and work alongside experienced professionals across Europe. Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Develop, implement and maintain quantitative models and analytical tools that support trading, pricing and risk management activities.
- Enhance pricing libraries and contribute to the development of new models for complex financial products.
- Work closely with Traders and Structurers to ensure that models meet business, regulatory and risk‑management needs.
- Apply programming, mathematics, statistics and analytical techniques to solve real market challenges.
- Test, document and monitor models to support robust performance, governance and continuous improvement.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- University degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline.
- English level: High proficiency in English. Knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
- Skills: Advanced mathematical and analytical capabilities; programming skills, preferably in Python, C++, Java or a similar language; knowledge of statistics and numerical methods; attention to detail; and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Interest: A strong interest in quantitative finance, derivatives pricing, model development, financial markets and technology.
