Department purposes
We are looking for a lawyer for our international Banking & Finance team in Madrid, which is led by two international partners and currently comprises a total of 8 lawyers.
- Our top ranked practice covers a wide variety of transactional work for banks, corporates, and funds in a multitude of product lines: leveraged finance, real estate finance, project finance (projects and PPP), export trade and commodities finance, restructuring, and debt capital markets. The team also has an excellent track record in Portugal, advising on significant mandates there as well.
- Our team is an integrated part of our wider Banking & Finance practice in Madrid. We work closely with our Spanish law qualified colleagues to provide a joinedup English / Spanish law offering to our clients. Our broader finance practice is also topranked, regularly advising on the top banking & finance mandates in the market. We often team with Allen & Overy's other international offices, particularly on crossborder mandates.

Role and responsibilities
***- You will report to the partners in the international team.
- You will be expected to play a leading role on transactions, coordinating the firm's service delivery and liaise with junior team members, and other members of the firm.
- You will be expected to develop your own profile in the market, particularly as you gain experience in particular product lines.
- Take advantage of the client opportunities given to you and develop your own relationships.
- Play a role in team development, both through the mentoring of other team members and sharing of knowledge.
