Customer Digital Product area is looking for a dedicated User Research Lead to be part of the team responsible for shaping the strategy of Telefónica's main app across 4 countries. The goal is to drive digital transformation for Telefónica's customers by utilizing their preferred channels and established digital platform.

As a Lead UX Researcher, your main role will involve conducting research to gain valuable insights into user behaviors and preferences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, overseeing the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative studies. Additionally, you will champion user research best practices and foster a user-centric mindset within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and coordinate impactful user research initiatives to address key user needs and issues.
  • Lead the creation and execution of research strategies, recommending suitable approaches and methods to acquire insights into user behaviors.
  • Carry out qualitative and quantitative studies, such as interviews, focus groups, user tests, workshops, surveys, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to translate research findings into practical, user-focused solutions.
  • Effectively communicate research outcomes to different stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Mentor and guide other user researchers, supporting their professional development and growth.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in leading user research in agile settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to distill complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in tools like UserZoom, Miro, Figma, Jira, and Confluence for research and collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Results-driven approach with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management skills and the capability to meet deadlines effectively.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or university degree in relevant fields like Psychology, Sociology, Design, or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in user research, preferably in leadership positions.
  • Additional certifications or training in user research methodologies are advantageous.
