Job Description:
We are looking for an organized and creative leader to create and deliver the research projects that will support the ideation of digital solutions to increase revenue or efficiency
The role will be responsible for leading research projects to feed the Digital Builders Organization (DBO) project pipeline. To do so, you will put into practice your experience, creativity, and methodology to understand and assess the needs of each Business Unit, perform Desk Research, lead both quantitative and qualitative studies and manage relevant broadcast and distribution. Your work will enrich the organization with new knowledge and new opportunities that will allow SGS business to improve its performance and create value.
More specifically, you will:
- Analyze and understand the needs of Division ́s stakeholders, gathering pain points and objectives in a proactive manner to gain insights for designing new technology related products.
- Establish and enhance the list of relevant stakeholders regions, divisions, central to optimize the understanding of the needs and their future broadcasting.
- Establish and manage, together with the Strategy and Pipeline Lead, a research plan
- Define the different methodologies to be used in the different analysis and workshops in order to guarantee maximum success
- Carry out desktop research (market research, data analysis).
- Design questionnaires and other quantitative studies and tests, from the optimal methodology and techniques definition to the ideal sample.
- Design, lead and facilitate qualitative studies such as interviews or workshops.
- Analyze and drive the synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data from various sources and stay connected to evolving business needs to reinforce findings and recommendations.
- Conduct presentations to expose research project outcomes and findings.
- Provide actionable reports to internal stakeholders based on research projects.
- Ensure the research programs reach the required audience within SGS with the correct means reports, webinars, workshops, face to face meetings etc.
- Ensure research programs are transparent, accountable, and scientifically sound.
- Provide strategic direction based on research's insights.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external research players and organizations in the field.
Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years driving research studies or working in a consulting position or as business analyst.
- Knowledge of the Testing, Inspections and Certification (TIC) sector, its peculiarities, operations and dynamics.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research and exploration tools: surveys, interviews, user test, focus groups, design thinking, etc.
- Versality in managing both qualitative and quantitative research, able to defend and explain both fields.
- Demonstrated experience with math assessment and statistics.
- Successful track record of research proposal writing
- Ability to learn new research methods and willingness to experiment.
- Strong ability to plan/ create insightful and actionable reports.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and issues at once.
- Creativity and outofthebox thinking in devising and proposing new opportunities.
- Strong decisionmaking skills: Ability to objectively solicit and consider input from other areas, people and processes when deciding; Comfortable dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity, making decisions, and taking risks where and when necessary.
- Expert communication skills and great ability to influence leadership.
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate and build strong relationships with coworkers and internal clients to support development and implementation of business solutions.
- Background of working in a lean / agile environment with remote teams: Adaptation of appropriate approaches to each situation. Acceptance and adaptation to new situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other languages are a plus (French, Portuguese, and Spanish in particular).
