To enhance our European Industrials business expansion, we are currently looking for experienced Cost Managers/Quantity Surveyors to join us in delivering challenging, high-value, complex projects.
Job Description
Turner & Townsend is in search of Cost Managers to contribute to the construction of advanced manufacturing facilities, serving as the primary contact with clients on a daily basis to ensure successful project outcomes. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in major construction projects within industries such as Battery, Semi-conductors, Chemicals, Industrial, Manufacturing, Data Centers, or Pharma.
This opportunity offers a dynamic environment to work on significant sector projects, collaborating with industry leaders at Turner & Townsend.
Key accountabilities:
Estimating and cost planning, including preparing and presenting the final cost plan. Tendering and procurement, managing pre-qualification stages, creating tender lists, compiling preliminary documents, analyzing tenders, producing tender reports, and assembling contractual documents. Efficiently handling post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager as required. Personally conducting cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost verification and valuation. Generating monthly post-contract cost reports and delivering presentations to the client. Contributing to value engineering, negotiating and settling final accounts. Collaborating with the client and other consultants throughout all project phases.Qualifications
Experience in construction, industrial, battery, semi-conductors, pharma, and/or manufacturing sectors. Familiarity with MEP and clean/dry rooms is advantageous. Degree in engineering (construction-related), construction management, or quantity surveying. Strong knowledge of technical aspects in the construction industry, including various procurement methods, value management, and value engineering. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in cost management. Proficient in written and spoken English and Spanish.Additional Information
