About the role
Trekksoft is looking for its next Sales and Marketing Lead. This is a hands-on sales role that will spend the majority of time closing deals. However it also comes with team management aspects.

You will be taking ownership of two main functions:


First, manage and lead a small Sales & Marketing team, spending about a third of your time on this area.


Second:
Be the senior ABM sales representative, create your own ABM funnel and close target accounts in key territories.

You will own the sales pipeline and drive deal wins, primarily in the ABM segment.

This requires a strong understanding of digital marketing in the SaaS segment and passion for the travel industry.

It will also require formidable experience in building long cycle lead nurturing processes for the team, while being able to win difficult deals individually or by supporting team members.


A key function of this role is to build and foster synergies between Marketing and Sales with a focus on generating and qualifying the right leads so that meaningful clients join the service.

In this role, your ability to make an impact should be a primary driver and source of success.

The role reports directly to the COO and CEO.

Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Create and manage your own ABM funnel in key territories (CH, NO, Italy, possibly UK, and others where applicable). Reach targets through calling, automation and face to face contact.
  • Own the sales pipeline: Review and refine the sales process, building a strong and sustained ABM approach.
  • Lead the sales meetings.
  • Attend trade shows and other lead generating events.
  • Define and track bonus targets for the sales reps.
  • Help define clear USPs for the product.
  • Prioritizing tasks with the sales staff.
  • Coaching staff with a focus on but not limited to ABM sales techniques.
  • Drive and prioritize the Sales-Marketing calendar with the team, with the goal of collaborating on funnel creation and closing deals.
  • Review and report on the Sales KPIs to management.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to feed information on sales focus and product fit.
  • Use and refine the sales metrics and dashboards to produce insight driven action.

Marketing:

  • Own the marketing funnel: Make sure lead generation is effectively creating prospects for inbound and outbound sales.
  • Leverage internal and contractor staff to generate leads and manage workflows, campaigns and content generation.
  • Review and report on the Marketing KPIs to management.
  • Guide and mentor the marketing staff in reaching agreed goals.
  • Perform periodic performance reviews for assigned staff.
  • Define and target addressable markets.
  • Use and refine the marketing metrics and dashboards to produce insight driven action.

Requirements:

  • First hand, 10+ years of experience in a senior outbound / AMB sales role.
  • Exposure to Marketing & Sales planning.
  • Passion for the tourism industry.
  • Being a native German speaker is a strong plus. Fluent English is a must.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong experience owning and managing marketing and sales pipelines in Hubspot, Salesforce or a similar platform.
  • Strong ability to learn and articulate the functionalities of complex software.
